Our 72 Bug
Here are a few pics of the 72 Standard Beetle we
picked-up on Oct 22,2008.
Towed it home with a VW tow bar with no
problem.
The Previous owned had broken his only key in the
ignition switch and instead of fixing it he wired up a puch button switch
hanging under the dash.
I took the ignition switch apart and laso removed
one of the door handles to check the key codes on them and they matched. I then
took the to a local locksmith and he made me 2 keys.
I can now lock the doors, but found out after I put
the wiring back to the ignition switch that it is bad. So I need to order
one.
Saturday I will pull the drums to checkout the
brakes and I will aslo check the valves & set the timing.
